Copper Mountain Technologies has worked to develop a plug-in to allow for making measurements on a real VNA remotely. This was developed with universities in mind so that students that cannot be on campus or get to a lab to test on a CMT VNA can access and make actual measurements on a DUT from wherever they are. It’s a perfect solution for remote learning or in necessity for distance in the classroom.
The plug-in serves as the connection between where the student is and the location of the VNA. Once the plug-in is accessed in a remote access program, like Google Remote Access, students can select which DUT to test and can do real measurements and save data in the CMT VNA software which is available to download on the website for free at any time.
